On Friday, 14 June 2019 our Grade 12 students in the International
Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB) received their High School Diploma
certificates in the foyer of the neighboring accadis Hochschule Bad Homburg. The
High School Diploma confirms that the graduates have successfully completed Grade
12. The finale of their school career was the IB final examination phase, and
they will be able to view their final grades online at the beginning of July
2019. The IB Diploma, which accadis ISB awards as an accredited IB World
School, is recognized in Germany and worldwide as a university entrance
qualification.
Recognized worldwide as university entrance qualification
Schools around the world have been
teaching the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) programs for 50
years. Already in 2016 accadis ISB successfully passed the demanding IB
accreditation process and now belongs to 5088 IB World Schools in 156 countries.
The IB Diploma enjoys a strong reputation at universities in Germany and
worldwide due to its academic requirements. As an IB World School, accadis ISB
offers a high-quality, challenging and international school education.
Last year the bilingual educational
institution accadis closed the circle of the unique holistic educational path
in Germany from Preschool to Elementary School and Secondary School to business
and doctoral studies at accadis Hochschule Bad Homburg. "We are very
pleased that the second IB Class, with more than twice as many students as last
year, has also successfully completed Grade 12. We would again be pleased to
welcome further accadis ISB graduates as students at accadis Hochschule.”, says
Professor Dr. Christoph Kexel, Managing Partner of accadis ISB.
Into the global job market
Last Friday, the
students celebrated the end of their school careers in caps and gowns together
with their families, friends, teachers, school Principals, the Managing Partners
Gerda Meinl-Kexel and Professor Dr. Christoph Kexel as well as the administrative
staff. Professor Dr. Christoph Kexel and Janina Sparks, accadis ISB Principal,
praised the motivation and stamina of the graduates in their speeches. They emphasized
that with their high-quality international school education, the young people
have prepared themselves very well for the globalized labor market. Henrike
Godding, class teacher of the graduating class, gave a humorous review of the
teaching and learning time with her students. Finally, the graduates had their
say. The event was accompanied by music by two accadis ISB Elementary School
students on piano and violin as well as a vocal performance by Gabrielle Mason,
music teacher at accadis ISB.
