In 2025, accadis International School Bad Homburg once again took part in the “Christmas in a Shoebox” initiative organized by the Kinderzukunft Foundation. Thanks to the strong commitment of the school community, 367 carefully prepared Christmas parcels were collected this year – a reflection of how responsibility for one another is lived at accadis ISB.
367 Colorful, Lovingly Packed Gifts
The parcels are now on their way to children in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania, and—where possible—Ukraine. Each box was packed with great care and contains items such as books, school and craft supplies, stuffed animals, sweets, or small accessories.
For many children, this parcel will be the only Christmas present they receive—a small gesture with a very big impact.
The “Kinderzukunft” Foundation – Creating Long-Term Impact
For more than 30 years, the Kinderzukunft Foundation has been supporting children in need across disadvantaged regions of Europe. In addition to the Christmas parcel campaign, the foundation runs long-term projects including children’s homes, educational programs, and healthcare initiatives. Its aim is to provide not only immediate help, but sustainable opportunities for the future.
Projects like “Christmas in a Shoebox” send an important message: these children are seen, valued, and not forgotten.
Thank You for the Organization and Support
Our sincere thanks go to everyone who took part in and supported this initiative. Special appreciation goes to this year’s organizing team from Grade 11: Tarkan, Arthur, Kai, Ege, Ayushman, and Kenan. The six students supported the project with great commitment and a strong sense of responsibility, helping to count and load the parcels.
